[KiniNews] In the latest development of the alleged corruption scandal in Sabah, the whistleblower has released the full video recordings implicating several assemblypersons.
The whistleblower claimed the videos document discussions about returning alleged bribes given to the politicians to secure support for a mining exploration licence application.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Sabah Finance Minister Masidi Manjun and his special officer have denied the whistleblower’s allegation that a large sum of money was offered as bribes to support the latter’s application for a mineral exploration licence.
One of the videos from the whistleblower purportedly took place at Masidi’s office on Jan 11, and involved discussions over an alleged sum of RM300,000, said to be a portion that had been “handed over” from a full purported amount of RM3 million.
Malaysiakini has contacted the others implicated in the video and the Chief Minister’s Office for comment.
