[KiniNews] The Education Ministry has apologised over a mistake involving the national flag on its SPM Analysis Report, which was released today.
A graphic on the report showed students in a classroom, with a Jalur Gemilang with two stars instead of one and eight alternating red and white stripes instead of 14.
The ministry said it had recalled the report, with corrections being made and had taken immediate action on all those who were involved, with a thorough investigation being conducted.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Zaid Ibrahim has questioned if Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek will face police action over the latest national flag blunder, like the editors at Sin Chew Daily who were detained for a similar mistake.
Zaid also made a sarcastic remark on the Education Ministry’s directive for students to wear the Jalur Gemilang on their uniforms, claiming it would foster national pride and patriotism.
He suggested that the badges should also be worn by Fadhlina and her ministry staff as this might help them remember what the Jalur Gemilang actually looks like and avoid future misadventures.
