[KiniNews] The Foreign Ministry has told Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang) not to "be more Hamas than Hamas itself".

This came after the Bersatu leader kept pressing Putrajaya to cancel Malaysia's invitation to US President Donald Trump to the 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur.

"Hamas has accepted the 20-point (peace) plan proposed by Trump. This is Hamas. So why don't we help and support this position? Do not be like what we call... be more Hamas than Hamas," said Deputy Foreign Minister Mohamad Alamin in the Dewan Rakyat.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor has announced the dissolution of the state legislative assembly, paving the way for the 17th state election.

The announcement was made during a ceremony with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) elected representatives at the Banquet Hall, Level 3, Menara Kinabalu this afternoon.
