[KiniNews] Bersatu has sacked its supreme council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan as well as four party division chiefs, and suspended Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal for one term.
According to a Bersatu disciplinary board, it found the leaders guilty of violating the party constitution and its Code of Ethics and Conduct.
In a press conference later, Wan Saiful said he and Wan Fayhsal remain dedicated to furthering Bersatu’s cause, despite attempts by “certain quarters” to sideline them.
Bersatu, Perikatan Nasional, does not belong to any one individual (or) figure. It cannot be used and exploited by anyone (who wishes to) save themself or their family member,” he added.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, police said that no elements of bullying have been identified in the shocking case of a fatal stabbing at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, which left one student dead.
While the motive for the murder is still under investigation, there is no indication of bullying involved, said Petaling Jaya district police chief Shamsudin Mamat.
