[KiniNews] In a unanimous decision, the Court of Appeal has acquitted Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman of four charges of criminal breach of trust (CBT), misappropriation of property, and money laundering linked to RM1.12 million of Bersatu Youth funds.In an emotional press conference following the verdict, Syed Saddiq said the prolonged legal battle had exacted a heavy toll not only on himself but also on his family, particularly his mother, Sharifah Mahani Syed Abdul Aziz, who was battling cancer.“Honestly, I hope that what I have gone through will not be experienced by any of my political enemies. I don’t wish this even on my worst enemies. Bersatu supreme council member Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal said Perikatan Nasional needs to choose its prime minister candidate from among leaders who have good ties with the Malay rulers.Saying that it is one of the most important criteria that PN should consider when choosing their poster boy, the Machang MP named four Bersatu and PAS leaders who he believes can maintain a good relationship with the royals should the coalition form the government.
