The Kuala Lumpur High Court allowed an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to freeze assets worth GBP132 million in London, United Kingdom, allegedly owned by the wife of the late Daim Zainuddin, Na'imah Abdul Khalid and her family.Judge Azhar Abdul Hamid allowed the ex parte application by the MACC under Section 53 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLATFPUAA 2001) for investigation under Section 4(1) of the same law.
