Former finance minister Daim Zainuddin’s widow has urged the Independent Police Conduct Commission (IPCC) to probe the force over its alleged inaction on her complaint against Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Na'imah Abdul Khalid said that she went to the police last year to report Anwar for allegedly abusing his power by instructing the MACC to investigate Daim, former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and Mahathir's sons.
This came after Bloomberg’s report on Sept 26 last year detailing claims of political interference in the graftbuster's operations.
