The road leading to the Parliament building turned slightly chaotic this morning when a group of activists and students were blocked from delivering a memorandum.
Made up of 14 NGOs, the group had gathered at Taman Tugu Negara and marched in the rain to Parliament, calling for a reform of the Peaceful Assembly Act and the abolition of the Sedition Act.
After about 20 minutes, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, and Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal arrived at the scene to receive the memorandum.
